History

Sphinx Enterprises, Ltd. founded in 2004, began operations focused in the areas of economic and supplier development and providing trademarked services in Vision Implementation and Strategic Supplier Diversity Consulting. These services were offered to corporate, entrepreneurial, and organizational leaders; and helped firms turn their vision into measurable, executable strategies to enhance performance and profitability. Sphinx also assisted corporations in strategically aligning their supplier diversity efforts with their overall corporate goals, objectives and supplier development efforts.

In 2006, Sphinx began providing international trade missions, which included a mission to Brazil, hosting both corporate leaders and diverse entrepreneurs seeking to identify business opportunities and build strategic partnerships between Brazilian-based corporations and local, diverse suppliers. During this period, Sphinx began its transition to business sustainability; and in 2007, launched its first suite of business sustainability services.

The Sphinx Enterprises Ltd. logo and corporate name gained its inspiration from one of the world’s greatest symbols of human ingenuity and sustainable development, the pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Egypt. Standing as a testimony unto themselves and those responsible for their existence, the pyramids and the Great Sphinx model a mastery of the laws of nature, science, project management, leadership and ultimately sustainability.

The Sphinx Enterprises logo is a multidimensional pyramid which represents empowerment, diversity and unlimited possibilities. The river flowing near the base of the pyramid reminds us of the important roles water has played in sustaining life while promoting community and commerce over the ages. The apex of the pyramid symbolizes the ability of a community, business, and nation to achieve new heights of accomplishment when their efforts are built on a foundation of respect and mastery for the laws of nature, sound management, and community empowerment.
